International Women’s Day: Celebrating Strength, Resilience & Progress
As a woman in sales, every day brings unique challenges, triumphs, and opportunities for growth. But on International Women’s Day, I reflect not only on my professional journey but also on the personal experiences that have shaped me – those moments of resilience, transformation, and growth that remind me of how far we can go, even when life seems daunting.
Sales, like many fields, often requires us to work twice as hard to be seen and heard. Over the years, I’ve learned to embrace my strengths as a woman – listening, empathy, building relationships, and leading with understanding. Sales is about connection, and authenticity and compassion is my greatest asset.
One of my biggest passions is coaching and empowering others to realise their potential. Seeing people grow in ways they never thought possible, develop confidence, and succeed is deeply fulfilling. But coaching isn’t just about advice – it’s about leading by example, standing by our values, and doing the right thing, even when it’s hard.
Life hasn’t always gone as planned. As a mother, I’m proud of the adults my two children have become. I’ve also faced personal challenges – navigating a divorce and health struggles that tested my limits. Yet, each moment and each experience made me stronger, more adaptable, and unapologetically myself.
Balance isn’t about perfection – it’s about making space for what truly matters, setting boundaries, and prioritising self-care. Juggling multiple roles or chasing the elusive work-life balance is an ongoing challenge, especially for women.
I’m proud to be part of a growing community of women who are challenging the status quo, building careers on our own terms, and creating space for others to rise. We have the power to create our own narratives, redefine success, and uplift those around us. It’s not just about breaking through glass ceilings – it’s about sharing our stories and showing future generations of women that they too can have the careers, the recognition, and the fulfilment they deserve.
To all the women who have inspired me, thank you! I hope I can do the same.
Happy International Women’s Day!
